The University of Manchester is located close to several train stations.
Manchester Piccadilly station is the closest to the conference venue as it is located only 0.2 miles away. It takes five minutes to walk to the Renold Building and the Sackville Street area of the campus from Piccadilly station. If you leave the station via the Fairfield Street exit (this is where the taxi rank is located), cross London Road, and continue straight ahead down Fairfield Street, the Sackville Street area will then be on your left.
Victoria station is approximately 1 mile from Sackville Street and the Renold Building. The easiest route to take from Victoria is to take a Metrolink tram to Piccadilly station and follow the walking directions above.
Oxford Road station is located approximately 0.4 miles (a 10 minute walk) away. To get to the conference venue from Oxford Road station, exit the station and cross Oxford Road, then turn right onto Whitworth Street. Walk along Whitworth Street until you reach Sackville Street. The Renold Building will be located on your right.

To travel to the University by tram, it is recommended to get the Metrolink to Piccadilly station. The Renold building is a short walk from here and directions can be found in the 'By Train' section above.
To travel by bus, the only bus that goes directly to Sackville Street is the 140.
Alternatively you can take a bus to London Road which is located a 0.2 mile walk away. Buses along London Road include: 107, 192, 196, 201, 203, 204, 205, 206, 373.

There is multi-storey car park found near the junction of Charles Street and Sackville Street which is owned by the University, and is open to the public. To navigate to this car park please use the postcode M1 3BB. The charges for parking here can be found below:
Drivers should collect a ticket on entry and pay at one of the machines prior to collecting their vehicle at the end of the day.
There is also a car park found on Sackville Street which charges £20 for 24 hours.
The closest airport is Manchester Airport which is one of the largest airports in the country. Manchester Airport is located 10 miles south of the city centre and about 30 minutes away from the University.
Manchester Airport has two terminals which are linked directly to the city centre by a frequent train link to both Manchester Oxford Road and Manchester Piccadilly stations. This train takes approximately one hour.
A taxi from the airport to the University will cost approximately £20.
Local buses also run to the Oxford Road and Sackville Street areas of campus from the airport.
